PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Rep. Glenn Nye (D-Va.), of Virginia's 2nd District Southeast, meets with Vice Adm. Robert J. Papp Jr., Commander of the Coast Guard Atlantic Area command in Portsmouth, Monday, April 27, 2009.During the meeting Papp discussed current Coast Guard priorities such as modernization, workforce issues and DoD parity for personnel benefits. He also answered questions about Coast Guard operational capabilities in the region.Nye then toured the newly constructed Atlantic Area Command center that oversees Coast Guard mission execution from the Rocky Mountains east to the Arabian Gulf.
